Job Description:
As a Community-Based Speech Pathologist, you will work with children aged 0 to 14, providing speech pathology services tailored to their needs. You will conduct standardized assessments, develop therapy plans, and collaborate with parents, carers, educators, and other health professionals involved in each client’s care. The role involves completing concise reports, maintaining client case notes, and demonstrating exceptional communication skills.
– Salary: $89,000 to $120,000 per annum plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist with standardized speech pathology assessments
– Develop tailored therapy plans and provide home practice activities
– Complete and document client assessments and NDIS review reports
– Liaise with parents, carers, educators, and health professionals
– Maintain up-to-date client case notes using an online system
Qualifications:
– Recognized degree in Speech Pathology
– Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
– Experience in providing speech pathology services to children with speech and language disorders (preferred but not essential)
– Ability to assess, plan, and monitor interventions for communication disorders
– Experience with NDIS participants
